This batch of cakes was made from a small batch of maocha sitting in a box in a very dry warehouse since the early 2000s. When we received it in early 2019, the material had hardly developed at all. We decided to press it into small cakes and sent it to Guangzhou to mature. Since developed into a very interesting dry stored yet aged Puer. Distinctly contrasting with the local humid storage of similar age, this tea is a fantastic way to experience the difference between long-term dry-stored vs. the more local Guangzhou natural-storage cakes.

 

It is our philosophy to let customers experience the quality for themselves. It is in the journey of exploring tea that one can better appreciate the qualities that one likes most and enjoy the unique pleasures of drinking high quality Puer teas that evolve over time.

  • As with all our small cake productions, this is made from limited high-grade gushu and can be brewed gongfu style around 20-40 times with short infusions.  We would highly recommend using the gongfu style and sharing with friends to make the most of these limited stock teas.
